How long does it take to migrate our infrastructure to the cloud?
Cloud migration timelines depend on your current architecture. A lift-and-shift migration of a standard monolithic application to AWS or Azure typically takes 4–8 weeks. A full re-architecture to a microservices-based cloud-native stack takes 3–6 months. Aquison Technologies provides a free migration readiness assessment to give you an accurate timeline.
Will our systems go down during the migration?
Planned downtime is normally zero. We migrate workloads in dependency order, run old and new side by side during cutover, and rehearse the rollback before each step. Where a database cutover genuinely requires a freeze, it is scheduled inside your maintenance window and measured in minutes.
Which cloud provider should we choose?
AWS has the broadest service catalogue and the deepest talent pool. Azure usually wins where you already run Microsoft licensing, Active Directory and Office 365. Google Cloud is strong for data and machine learning workloads. We recommend based on your existing stack, compliance requirements and the skills you can realistically hire for.
Do we need Kubernetes?
Often not. Kubernetes earns its operational complexity when you are running many services with genuinely independent scaling and release cycles. For a handful of services, managed container platforms like ECS, Cloud Run or App Service cost far less to operate. We will say so when that is the honest answer.
Can you reduce our current cloud bill?
Usually, yes. The recurring wins are over-provisioned instances, storage with no lifecycle policy, idle non-production environments left running overnight, and unused reserved capacity. We start with a cost assessment against your current baseline and report savings monthly so the reduction is verifiable rather than asserted.
