Privacy Policy

At Aquison Technologies, your privacy is the point of this product, not a policy attached to it. Calculator Vault was built around a single principle: your files never leave your device. This document explains exactly what that means, and what it does not.

At a glance

• No data collected. We gather no personal information of any kind.
• No internet required. The app requests no network permission and makes no network calls.
• On-device encryption. Files are stored in private application storage that other apps cannot reach.
• No account needed. There is no sign-up, no email address and no login.

Information we do not collect

Calculator Vault is a fully offline, on-device application. We do not collect, transmit, distribute, sell or share:

• Personal identifiers — no name, email address, phone number or device identifier is ever captured.
• Usage or analytics data — the app integrates no third-party analytics framework, including Firebase, Crashlytics, Mixpanel or any equivalent service.
• Your files — photos, videos and documents stored in the vault are never uploaded, transmitted or accessed remotely.
• Location data — we do not request or collect GPS, network-based or any other location data.
• Behavioural tracking — no events, taps, sessions or usage patterns are recorded anywhere.

Because the application requests no network permission from Android, these are not commitments you have to take on trust. The operating system does not grant the app the ability to send anything anywhere.

How your data is stored

Files imported into the vault are moved immediately into an app-private, isolated storage directory on your Android device. That directory is inaccessible to:

• Other installed applications
• Android system file managers and media scanners
• Android Auto Backup and Google One backup services
• Any external server, cloud platform or person

The same applies to anything you create inside the app rather than import — secure notes and generated passwords are written to that private storage and never leave it.

Your vault entry PIN is never stored in plain text. It is cryptographically hashed using Jetpack DataStore with encrypted shared preferences, which leaves it unreadable even if the device storage is accessed directly.

All data in Calculator Vault remains solely under your control at all times. No server, no third party and no employee of Aquison Technologies can access your vault.

Device permissions

Calculator Vault requests only the permissions its core features require, and every one of them is used solely on-device.

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (Android 13 and above), or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below) — required so you can browse and select photos or videos from your device gallery to import them into the vault. No file is read without your explicit action.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below only) — required on older Android versions so you can export secured files back to your public gallery when you ask for it.

CAMERA (optional) — requested only if you choose to capture a photo or record a video from inside the vault. The camera is never accessed without your deliberate action.

Data retention and deletion

Because we neither host nor collect your data, retention is entirely under your control. Imported files remain on your device until you take one of the following actions:

• Delete individual files from within the app.
• Use bulk delete to remove several files at once.
• Use Clear vault in the app's own settings to delete everything in it.
• Clear the app's data through Android Settings → Apps → Calculator Vault → Clear Data.
• Uninstall the application.

The app's settings also offer Export all, which copies your vault contents back to the device gallery. Use it before any of the destructive options above if you want to keep what is inside.

Please read this before clearing data. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it will permanently and irrecoverably delete your vault and everything inside it. There is no backup and no recovery — that is a direct consequence of nothing being stored off your device. Export anything you want to keep to your gallery first.

Third-party services

Calculator Vault does not use, integrate with or link to any third-party SDK, advertising network, social media plugin or analytics platform. It operates as a self-contained, internet-independent tool.

The app is distributed through the Google Play Store. Google's collection and use of data during download and installation is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, which is separate from and independent of this document.

Children's privacy

Calculator Vault is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because the app collects no personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect or process personal data from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements to the app, changes in legal requirements or other operational reasons. When we do, we will:

• Update the effective date shown at the top of this page.
• Publish the updated policy at this same URL, which is the address submitted to the Google Play Console.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
