Information We Do Not Collect
Calculator Vault is a fully offline, on-device application. We do not collect, transmit, distribute, sell, or share:
- Personal Identifiers — No name, email address, phone number, or device ID is ever captured.
- Usage or Analytics Data — We do not integrate any third-party analytics frameworks including Firebase, Crashlytics, Mixpanel, or any equivalent service.
- Your Files — Photos, videos, and documents stored in the vault are never uploaded, transmitted, or accessed remotely.
- Location Data — We do not request or collect GPS, network-based, or any other location data.
- Behavioral Tracking — No events, taps, sessions, or user behavior is tracked or stored anywhere.

How Your Data is Stored
All files imported into the vault are immediately moved into an app-private, isolated storage directory on your Android device. This directory is fully inaccessible to:
- Other installed applications
- Android system file managers and media scanners
- Android Auto Backup or Google One backup services
- Any external server, cloud platform, or person
Your vault entry PIN is never stored in plain text. It is cryptographically hashed using Jetpack DataStore with encrypted shared preferences, making it unreadable even if the device storage is physically accessed.

Device Permissions
Calculator Vault requests only the permissions strictly necessary to deliver its core features. All permissions are used solely on-device:

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (Android 13+) or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below)Required to allow you to browse and select photos or videos from your device gallery to import them into your private vault. No files are read without your explicit action.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below only)Required only on older Android versions to export your secured files back to your public gallery upon your explicit request.

CAMERA (Optional)Requested only if you choose to capture a photo or record a video directly within the vault. The camera is never accessed without your deliberate action.

Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not host or collect any of your data, data retention is entirely your responsibility and in your control. All imported vault files remain exclusively on your device until you take one of the following actions:
- Manually delete individual files from within the app.
- Use the app's bulk-delete feature to remove multiple files at once.
- Clear the App's data via Android Settings → Apps → Calculator Vault → Clear Data.
- Uninstall the application from your device.
⚠️Important Warning: Clearing the App's storage data or uninstalling the App willpermanently and irrecoverably delete your encrypted vault and all files within it. Please export any important files to your gallery before performing either action.

Third-Party Services
Calculator Vault does not use, integrate, or link to any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, social media plugins, or analytics platforms. The application operates as a fully self-contained, internet-independent tool.
The App is distributed through the Google Play Store. Google's collection and use of data during the download and installation process is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, which is separate from and independent of this policy.

Children's Privacy
Calculator Vault is not directed to children under the age of 13 years. Since the App does not collect any personal information whatsoever from any user, we do not knowingly collect or process any personal data from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information through our App, please contact us immediately. We will take prompt action to address the concern.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to the App, changes in legal requirements, or other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
- Make the updated policy available at the same URL used for Google Play Console submission.
We encourage you to periodically review this page to stay informed. Continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
